Hey Vishnu,

Folks will likely be in two camps... those that invest in Detroit proper and those that focus on the suburbs only.

I personally like Detroit proper and I have 12-doors there. It's been extremely good to me and the city is undergoing a crazy amount of revitalization.

Given your desired price point you're probably going to be looking in Detroit proper rather than the suburbs.

I highly recommend the Detroit Renegades Investor Meetup. Google them and you'll find their website. They meet once a month. It's a great, no BS/sales kind of meetup with folks of all experience levels.

Thanks Travis! I'll look into the group.

Hey All!

I'm a recent college graduate from MSU, and I am currently looking for investment opportunities (SFR) in the Metro Detroit area. I just wanted to reach out here to get advice from more experienced investors on what pockets of Metro Detroit have worked for others, as well as to connect with people in the area! The ideal properties for me would be sub-100k homes, that aren't in too horrible of a condition.

Also, any info on local Real Estate Investment group meetups would be awesome!
