Redemption period, what is that about and who is it for, the previous owner?

As far as the auction and its investers, I'm not there to make friends, they can kiss my *** if they dont like me. Haha.

I've owned before, got a divorce and got bought out. I still dont have a comfortable amount to through down for a typical home in my area. I'm thinking maybe I could use this kind of opportunity to flip (get a more realistic down payment on my own place) or start a rental property up.

Property tax foreclosure is what I'm looking at.

I'm looking for general information on picking up tax foreclosure properties. Can someone point me toward some good general information geared for a first timer?
