I definitely will thank you! With my previous knowledge in stock I am actually interested in REIT's (I learned about them from the free book). I was wondering if anyone else has any experience with them? I actually just bought a couple shares of DRE and was wondering people's thoughts about it! That will definitely have to be one of my keyword alerts.

Thank you all! It's nice to see a very active forum with nice people in them. I hadn't realized how many Connecticut people were here either! Thank you for all the tips and information already and I'll be sure to check it out!

Sorry for the bit of a delayed response, week before finals and a lot has been going on.

Thank you! Yeah I forgot to mention I do tend to be all over the place with my interests but I am working basically to my utmost extent to do everything I can to secure my financial future.

Real estate in part is interesting to me because my father used to own a condo but eventually sold it because he didn't want to keep it anymore and it was more of a liability than an asset and I'm curious as to turn those situations into assets. As well as I obviously hope to have my own home some day and rent out a few others so I'm hoping that I can create a second stream of revenue from this. Luckily I am young and I have heard repeatedly to "do it while you're young" and make mistakes while you're young so that's part of what I'm trying to do (if that makes sense).

I'm bound to leave a ton of relevant information out so feel free to ask me more questions about myself but here are the basics! I'm a university student at Franklin Pierce University in New Hampshire but otherwise live with my family in Connecticut. I recently turned 21 but don't party or do anything like that (drugs and alcohol aren't my thing). I am by no means the best student but I am improving luckily in my later years to hopefully end up financially free later on. I know absolutely nothing about real estate and I am here to learn first and put my knowledge into practice later on. I also have some money in stocks and I am still learning in that field and I also got a camera for my birthday so I'm hoping to use that and become better as I go on (maybe even sell pictures in the future?!). My major is psychology and my minors are forensic psychology and criminal justice. I've listened to both bigger pockets podcasts as well as some others including Austin Netzley's YoProWealth (does anyone else listen to this?, I am by no means trying to sell his (free) podcast just give information). I'm overall trying to become more financially savvy and learn more about the real estate business and how everything works and that's why I'm here! Like I said before feel free to both message me here or just leave a post if you have any questions!
