Represented clients in flip properties, a commercial parking lot, a hotel turned into a 40-unit rental property, a medical office condo, an optometrist building, potential RV-sites, single family homes that are used for STR, MTR, or LTR, land to be used for construction of multi-family properties, duplex/tri-plex/quadplex buildings, land to be used for a commercial plumber's HQ, storage unit facilities, and single family homes that are used for the owner's employees out of their home city instead of paying for hotels in two different cities. Licensed originally in 2010. Ryan entered commercial insurance from 2013-2017, where he helped dozens of business owners/investors insure their real estate investments. Ryan's wife, Sarah, entered real estate in 2014. In 2018, Ryan became the CEO/Team Leader of KW Johnson City, helping grow agent businesses, including Sarah's real estate business. In 2021, Sarah sold $10m and 31 units. Ryan transitioned out of CEO/Team Leader and into selling with Sarah in 2022. They sold $9.5m and 30 units in 2022. In 2023, they sold 49 units for $15.9m. 2024 projections are 53 units for $16.5m. They currently have dozen or so investors that they have represented in transactions over the past 3-4 years, and are currently searching for investment property for another 40 or so investors, some of which have never invested before. Her second degree from ETSU was her Master of Arts in Teaching, which propelled her into her first career--teaching. Many of the skills that made her a successful teacher have also served her clients well in her real estate career. Ryan is a native of Johnson City, Tennessee. He attended ETSU, where he was a baseball player for four years, and graduated with a degree in Mass Communications. Ryan has had a successful career in the pharmaceutical, commercial insurance, and real estate industries, including four years as Team Leader/CEO of KW Johnson City, helping over 150 agents produce over 1,900 transactions and $445 million in sales volume production each year. In 2022 and 2023, Ryan & Sarah McKinney were the #1 ranked team in all of Keller Williams in the Tri-Cities.
