It doesn't matter if the shareholder and President are the same person, the way you behave should be the same. 

It behaves somewhat like a syndication but has a different legal structure that qualifies for 1031 exchange treatment.

As far as a DST goes for replacement property, it can be a great potential solution for those who are no longer interested in the traditional responsibilites of ownership any longer or who may be having a difficult time finding adequate replacement property or properties. 

My guess would be the market will behave inefficiently for a short time as it reacts to uncertainty from the new White House, and then it will re-stabilize into something fairly similar as what it is today. 

They seem to be having an issue with the theory of having a "hotel" with no onsite management.

Since these loans usually have interest rates that reset at 5, 7, 10 years do they behave like regular residential ARMs?   

If tenants controlled themselves and behaved as they should most would probably be OWNERS not renters.

If an attorney needs to get involved i currently don't have one, can anyone recommend one in the Houston area if need be? 

Behaving ethically is a higher standard than behaving legally.

I can't tell the future, I just will tell you markets behave when supply and demand are close(r) to be met.
