Any ideas to help fill the units?

Is this neighborhood going to be filled with investors who want to rent out part of their basement, or is it going to be filled with people who want the latest and greatest amenities?

There is a lot of paperwork required and you will need a contractor who is capable of filling it out, getting it notarized,  and willing to work on the terms laid out by FHA.  

It generally takes 4-8 weeks to fill a vacancy.

Again, being ignorant as this is my first time, I have no idea if this is any good, better or worse.One concern I do have, is that it seems that my properties would compete with their (Rent to Reward) properties when it comes to filling vacancies.

The form I filled out for the pre-approval had the criteria that Kevin mentioned earlier:"By checking this box you certify that your loan proceeds will not be used to pay for post-secondary education costs, or to invest in real estate or securities.

But, again, if you love that exterior DIY stuff then not so much..Also, if you have any specific questions, just quote or mention me  and I can come back and fill in (I don't know much about massive conversions or building or developing new ones, just owned and rented a few and been on 3 boards).....

Smooth, in good condition linoleum with maybe a broken corner that you can fill and smooth out...go for it.
