I'm amazed that so many people believe this.To set the record straight, it is true that, if you want to buy property in the so-called "forbidden zone (within 100 kms from an international border or 50 kms from a coastline), you have to own it through a fideicomiso (bank trust) or a Mexican corporation (a corporation is better if you own more than two properties).
