It's only legal if you're on-property during the rental period and the renter needs to have access to the entire space.

What they want to see is that there is a reasonable expectation that you are going to live in the home for at least a year so things like (closer to family, or closer to family, or bigger home, or more space) will suffice and you won't have to change over your DL. 

Hey there, I figured this was worth sharing since a lot of us here have been learning more about STRs and the STR 'arbitrage' space.

The home should also gain storage space under it with the higher foundation.

Space is zoned commercial and currently set up as single office but in need of work.

What I have found in the multi-family space is that the tenants expect a level of "noise" if you will such as hearing other residents enter and leave, etc.

It was like an event space / Airbnb and had a bunch of animals you could pet and hold.
