There's going to be a list of properties out there he's not inspecting and it might give you sorta tunnel vision and miss out on something else that could be better.

I can ask the contractor to try calculating the construction costs for the first floor but I think he is getting tired of working on stuff for us without seeing any light at the end of the tunnel with a bank.

It was a great call and he gave me some insight,a great book referral, and a way to see the light at the end of the tunnel (and all on his birthday!!)  

New residents and current residents are starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. 

I wonder if the digging for the 635 tunnel expressway had something to do with that.

Now my only role is coordinating maintenance requests and repairs with my vendors.You fail to mention the light at the end of the tunnel.

Rule of thumb: If they SOUND LIKE a "better buy now, before the door closes" artificial scarcity model peddler, then better take it for a click tunnel "test drive," and ALWAYS maintain defacto "veto power," via potential charge- back!!!
