I am reminded that the Phoenixville code inspectors -- who come around each year -- look askance at the use of portable space heaters by tenants -- mostly bc of the dangers of tipping, damage to cords, and fire hazard from folks trying to dry damp clothing on them.

Instead, I have a great appliance guy and a portable AC unit and have had great success between those two.  

I always bring a 12" compound and a portable table saw when doing projects.  

Tell them to buy a portable version?

Although a tiny space has disadvantages under our current paradigm, I think advantages like portability, affordability, sustainability, and housing security will out weigh the old ways of thinking.

Yes you can keep your number...number portability is a federal law.I have an iphone and love it...as do most owners...takes a few months to really get things down but...I will probably never change now

Offer a little bit of extras - like bottled water and single-serve portable snacks such as granola bars, and watch your rental fill up.Or, if it doesn't work out, you can always rent it out as a long term deal.

And you have to work hard at making the home a destination in and of itself (ex: hot tub, outdoor lighting, heat umbrella, fire pit with wood, grill, sauna, games, arcades, books, great cookware, etc.).
