As for the paint, given they changed the colour and it was painted 2.5 years ago, I don't think you should have to repaint it-ie charge them for a portion of the painting.

When I hear 'petty requests' to me that is along the line of I don't like the colour of the door handle in which case I'd say tough it is the same one that was there when you bought it.
