In 2020, somewhere in America, there was a bearded, weary old warn out guy who threw off his sandwich board sign, did a jump for joy, yelling and hooting, grabbing people saying "see, SEE, I TOLD YOU SO, you all laughed at me. year after year, decade after decade, but I KNEW IT, when Nixon got thrown out I KNEW any day those damn ____ were gonna get us with a virus" LMAO.

@David Shapira there are a few - @Ricky Beliveau hosts a monthly event (outside of COVID) and there is always a great turnout.

The USD was uncoupled to gold back in the Nixon era, that is when it became a fiat currency BUT that does not mean it is not backed by something, it was and is, the value of the dollar was and is backed by the perceptual value in it and the USA.

@Ricky Chau - I came up with my estimates by putting together a plan for the full house, room by room, which included my planned materials and cost [which I just priced out by picking out the items at Home Depot] , as well as labor estimates based on a $50/man hour bill rate.
