Set up a dehumidifier, even if it’s a portable one that you have to empty by hand just to get the moisture out while you figure out a more permanent situation.

Small, portable space heaters can warm a bedroom in minutes, and when used wisely they can save you hundreds a month on your heating bill.

And showers often have built in or portable seats. 

So all in all it would have taken over 2 months to repair the AC when my tenant is sweating in the 120 degree desert heat and would only cover 200 bucks of a unit that was destined to fail again within the year.In the end not only was I stuck with the cost of a new AC unit, I also had to buy a portable window unit in the meantime, and gave my tenant a free month of rent. 

I have a house in the desert that gets hot, so I think it simply need A/C since currently we are using portable evaporative coolers.

I just got done cleaning the bugs out of my sauna so my wife does not freak out.. !!

I have used portable stand alone units (per room or level basis) and I think you can get whole house units as part of HVAC systems 

(its currently about 4K with an unfinished basement) and have an indoor pool, sauna, gym, and theatre (and we are planning on adding a 5th bedroom possibly).
