I love these words and live by them.i currently have around 15k in savings, probably at least 10-20 k in assets, an entire home worth of goods from when i lived in a condo a few years ago in my parents basement (i am living at home at the moment, FREE of course, the greatest benefit)the final semester of my program is relatively laid back, with 300 clinical hours and a research project and a couple exams.

The great thing is I now can get up to 3.5k a semester paid for through my work, I go to a community college so classes are pretty cheap any ways.Should I try to major or take classes around Business/Eco/Financing?

Especially in college areas, I think it would be easier to rent single rooms that way at least part of your mortgage is taken care of while you find more renters.Also, do people usually plan there rental property prucahses around the school year, IE purchase a property before school starts when the students are still looking for houseing or do you just buy when you find the right deal even if it is the middle of a semester.
