I went into it knowing it wasn't going to be a great investment compared to the rest of my portfolio, as it also provides a place my whole family can gather on occasion for vacations, so from that aspect it makes sense, but as a purely financial investment and passive investment?

I also would have kept my ~3% mortgage and used the money to buy other property, but that's more of a risk / comfort decision as opposed to purely a math problem.
