Brand new to investing.

In store one lawn fertilizer gives the discount and the other brand didn't.  

All new plumbing and mostly new electrical and the stairs leading up to that unit is all brand new.

Any brand preference in the long run (Square D vs Eaton)?

There’s nothing wrong with where you want to devote your time,  but  investing in index funds is better aligned with your desired lifestyle.
