Hello -Looking to buy a duplex in Albany, NY as an investment property but have little cash. 

Coming over from NY as a broker (not agent). 

For example, in Rochester NY, a property east of Culver Road will fetch $20K-$50K more than a property just west of Culver Road. 

I currently own one home in NY as LTR, one STR in SWFL but am looking to expand my portfolio.

For example, I started investing in Buffalo (NY) a few years ago because I liked the stable population statistic along with the fact that a big chunk of the population is in the healthcare industry... along with major car manufacturers having plants or some sort of manufacturing factory there (Tesla, GM, etc.) 

This is in Amsterdam, NY as well.

They can definitely tell you what you need to know legally and licensing wise in NJ/NY as there are some restrictions in certain states and I think NJ is one of them. 

You're in NY as well as I, so I hear you with regard to finding property and it working for you.
