But honestly if she can barely make mortgage payments on a home they bought for $350K, will she be able to do payments on another $100K which is what she'd need to buy him about.She should also get a lawyer because if she's the one who has been doing all of the payments on the home for the last 2 years, then she needs to make sure she gets some of that money back when they sell it (ie not 50:50 until she's taken her bit out for the last 2 years of mortgage payments and property taxes, etc).

The closing deadline is next week, so I don't think it's gonna happen before that, but still - if it can take less than the standard 2 years, which it might take per the lawyer - that would be a relief for me.

I ended up connecting with a lawyer who has handled other issues for me and she said basically I waited too late in the month to start the eviction process and to sit tight as it seemed the tenant was actually moving out, but if they weren't out by designated day, circle back to start a formal eviction.What actually happened is that the tenant moved out on the date indicated and left some trash but the unit was generally clean and left in good shape.
