Someland lords here that hate the city and are cited for exterior paint violations will paint the houses pink, purple or any other crazy color.

Active real estate investors will harvest depreciation benefits and then sell and 1031 exchange into larger properties so they get more depreciable basis. 

What I was able to do is drive in with my car and pink slip, then 30-45 minutes later drive out with a check.

I think people will live in Meridianville/Harvest/Albertville/Athens before they'd move to Decatur.   

@Michael S. is right, most of the great deals currently are in Harvest, Athens, Decatur.I am personally looking at some parts of decatur right now as I feel that some of the growth in Huntsville might flow into these areas but again it is just speculation.

You're essentially offsetting income that will be taxed at very high rates by harvesting losses that will be taxed at lower rates.

@Mindy JensenThey are just a mirror site that harvest properties from HUD/FNMA/FREDDIE and it appears Auction.com and others as well as I did a search and recognize many of the properties. 

I think even the REITS and syndications should only use Fixed to cover their investment harvest window.
