In the next couple weeks: I have planned 2 roof replacements, a cement border replacement, a privacy partition replacement, rebuild a gazebo, a fence segment replacement. 

It’s doable but the cement overlay, then marble overlay is what sets ours apart for sure.

I can think of ways to inflict $50,000 worth of damage with a crow bar and a bag of cement.   

Breaking out cement for new plumbing in bathroom.Septic system installation.New driveway going in.New concrete pads being installed.

Proper subfloor on tile is 3/4 T&G plywwod with 1/2 cement board.

There are certainly worse things than knowing good carpenters, plumbers, & cement guys. 

That is a local cement plant issue, not an across the board issue.  

If anything the FED is cementing its position as the Worlds Central Bank even more by reviving swap lines and finding ways to provide even more dollar liquidity to other central banks.

I would call it a non-issue as long as you plan a siding over-lay and the property does not have any structural issues form the added weight of the chosen material, ie don't go cement board, think vinyl or engineered wood product. 

No question; fix the driveway.Use fiber reinforced concrete and it will last longer with 6" of concrete vs the 4" thickness, which is usual.Barry the resident from driving his vehicle on the new cement for 14 days.
