In theory, it shouldn't be difficult to determine whether a particular set of training provides appropriate value -- you should be able to look at the results of the trainees to see if a typical earns more than the cost of the training.

Crazy idea - Ask him for a trainee that's done well and go talk to them.Think a lot of these classes rely on you sinking a bunch of money into them as the motivation to keep going.

I would say each of you take classes at the same time but go to differe schools and compare information and results, either that or pick the school with the highest trainee pass rate.Good luck, if you have any questions I am happy to answer them.
