For me, being a remote landlord, the absence of vacancies is more precious than another $10 bucks, especially when that change creates a defacto risk of a move-out (that which I would rather not face).  

Most other precious metals are produced at far greater rate than the demand because of the artificially high prices.

I prefer precious metals for that and I use real estate as an income driver.

If you were paying for something say precious metals... often do a EFT to the company... some people do wires when buying a vehicle/etc vs showing up with cash.
