A home for your own personal consumption isn't an investment, but if you had the opportunity to build equity that you or your heirs could tap into down the road, wouldn't you want to?

Funds used in those purchases will eventually run dry, completion and supply will exceed consumption and the market will correct.

...All utilities in my area charge a minimum fee even if there is no consumption of that utility.

In slowdown in consumer spending in Europe, US or Japan will also greatly affect China who is already investing at a higher percentage than their consumption.

I'm pretty sure I don't fit in that target market, I'm retired and just don't fall into the consumption side of BP's efforts or purpose (except in that I generate thousands of posts).Looking at the number of hits on a post or podcast may not tell the truest picture.

Has anyone found a good solution to remotely monitor water consumption?
