(It doesn’t seem to be worth the effort as one considers attorney fees, maintenance, and higher insurance costs for a veil that can be easily "pierced").

The only reason you would have separate accounts is to treat LLCs as separate entities to avoid piercing the corporate veil.

Id contend that if the property were in an LLC, and the loan was in your name, that that LLC would be pierced pretty easily.

@Peter M. please let me assure you it is not a difficult task for a competent lawyer to pierce the veil of an LLC. 2nd year Corporations covers it in law school.
