Something's going to happen that will disrupt the economy.

The knock on effects will certainly cause major disruptions.

While it might just be my personal bias, moving into a neighborhood with a lot of construction wouldn't appeal to me as a renter as I'd have to deal with disruptions, dirt/mud, noise. 

Some major manufacturers and retailers -- including Microsoft, Apple and Walmart -- have already warned of disrupted supply chains, and have lowered guidance (or implied it) for 2Q20. 

I don't like trying to get tenants to fix this type of stuff, as their is a chance they can just do more damage.The best ways to mitigate the cost is to either live close enough to DIY without much disruption in your schedule, or develop a good relationship with a handyman and/or plumber in the area.

If, in the middle of the coldest part of a NY winter, an ice storm hits and disrupts power to utility customers, disabling their heating sources. 

People will suffer and die, jobs will be lost, bankruptcy and foreclosures rife, supply chains disrupted.

And slightly 'off topic,' but I'm still fancying 'disrupting' the 'lease to purchase' paradigm... so if you either know of hear of anyone who wants to do a better job of it than has been done previously, please keep me in mind.

But rent is not forgiven; just no evictions, kicking people out of their homes during a pandemic.Other small businesses are totally disrupted, and many fear they will struggle to get their client base back as well as their staff.
