On top of the ~$650 for groceries, we were spending about $450 more a month on eating out and of course millennials love craft beer and nice wine(lol).We went from 0-100 from the beginning and started eating out only once a week and gave ourselves a $50/week grocery budget except when we needed paper goods.

Hike, camping (especially this year), ride bike, exercise, sit by the fire in the evenings with a glass (bottle) of wine, cook, go to live concerts, and talk with my significant other about the travel we will do when travel restrictions are lifted.

I was at a walk up eating bar a few years ago at Ohare airport in Chicago and the guy next to me did not tip on probably a 30 to 40 dollar ticket food and two glass's of wine. the gal serving him was semi devistated the guy was kind of put off like what are you talking about..

Go somewhere you actually like.for weather nothing beat California.. hands down.. 20k will get you in a nice place in Lake co California northern end of the famous wine country.. 2.5 hours to SF and Sacramento 1.5 hours to ocean..
