Once alcohol was legal again, the "bad guys" realized that they had no competitive advantage over the legal suppliers and had to find new industries to take over -- in this case, it was drugs and gambling.Now that gambling is pretty much legalized, the "bad guys" aren't much involved in that anymore either (see Las Vegas as an advantage).So, if you're really concerned about driving out the "bad guys," it would seem that legalization is a great way to do so.
