PS - Home Depot has a good respirator (not mask) that's designed for mold.  

a live boa  that scared the bejesus out of the first people that went into it.. you needed respirator.. 

I should add that a respirator should ALWAYS be worn when dealing with mold.

If I  have to tell my future tenants that they must wear a respirator all day, in order not to huff diesel and gas fumes, that's gonna be a problem.

My next step if you still pick up wet dog, consider some of the over the counter products that are more to remove than cover smells (Lysol, Febreze, etc) and I might don a respirator and give it a half can or so, on walls and lightly onto laminate floor,  gaps etc).

When your daily tools are flea spray, bolt cutters, a flash light, a digital camera, a measuring wheel or tape measure, a respirator, and a change of clothes for when you sit on a urine stained couch.
