I have been rattling my head on writing a business plan and saw your post.

Ive listened to several BP podcasts, read several books about financial freedom/ real estate investing (rich dad poor dad, no money down, etc) and I need some advice on how to make that first step.These are some of the ideas rattling around in my head.1st - Spend a year or two saving as much as possible to afford a down payment; all the while building credit.

Might even be more, since I'm rattling off all of that from the top of my head.

As stated above, there are way too many numbers that can be rattled off, but I’ll just attach this video which does a good job illustrating why Texas is a great place to invest for the long-term.
