I was active on BP 4-5 years ago but I'm just now circling back to focus more on my REI goals, so I thought I'd reintroduce myself.I'm 28, newly married and live in north Raleigh, NC.

Being less of a realtor would be ideal but I do enjoy it  (There are also obstacles with the HELOC and being approved for as much as I want to pull out based on DTI with my business and writeoffs/etc.)Lastly, for context im far from my monthly passive income goal. 

That kind of perspective is incredibly valuable in forums like this.Looking forward to seeing your contributions, and enjoy those Outer Banks fishing trips when you can get them.

I am really enjoying finding so many people that are involved with investing in the local area. 

Even just having them run “what if” scenarios before pulling the trigger on a deal saved me from headaches.So I’d say if you’re serious about growing this into more of a business, finding a tax pro who lives and breathes real estate is worth it.

So good to hear that you think there's not a huge difference, because, yes, in the end I want to enjoy where I live and invest, too.
