We were on the side of selling given today’s market climate to be safe because we don’t see us keeping it in the long run if things do go down within a 5 year time frame.

My guess is between the current climate of both loosening the reigns around private offerings, the reduced restrictions on businesses, and the general reduction of agency autonomy, any SEC complaints are falling on deaf ears.Additionally, the optics of these cases will not warrant adequate political attention to get regulators attention.

While that's certainly not ideal, my leverage was low to start with and my loan maturities were ten years so I have staying power to sell into a better market.Looking ahead, anything I'd buy would have to cash flow out of the gate in a higher-rate climate.

Everyone said it best @Christine Brown.It took us about 7 years to save up the down we needed while raising 3 kids and then I get hit with a disabling neurological disorder but everything worked out.It took us about 2 years to find the right property and move on it.You sound pretty young so you have time.
