I think it's a gamble, could do well but could do terribly. - Don't buy sight unseen.

It's typically best to figure out one route to go and dial in your buy box, it makes underwriting deals easier and not getting distracted by the numerous ways to invest in real estate.

The reason for this is that RE market prices are based on numerous criteria.

Stock market is an investment, and as such is still a gamble.

With the numerous investors on this forum they have done this to, it is probably just the tip of the iceberg.
