My wife and I have built up some significant savings and are highly interested and excited to purchase our first STR in the near future.We enjoy the pan-handle of Florida as well as the Southwest coast (Cape Coral, Ft Myers, Naples).  

However, all properties in the funds are stable and we still feel pretty confident that things will pan out well.Our biggest gamble in all of our investing was with Goodegg.

I understand that not all deals pan out as pro forma says but at least yearly updates are essential, quarterly even better.

But just in case being a real estate agent doesn’t pan out for whatever reason, I would tell you not to be afraid to pursue the career path that interests you the most.  

They've had people come in to try and salvage the deals but so far nothing has panned out.

My student housing is fully furnished: beds, dressers, desks, pots pans, silverware, couch, chairs, everything. 

When a deal pans out as projected, everyone (almost everyone) is happy.

If the numbers support it, this can be an excellent workaround for non-U.S. income earners who have strong cash-flowing properties.If you're looking to pull equity but a HELOC doesn’t pan out, you might also consider a cash-out refinance using either a conventional lender or a DSCR lender.
