I'm currently furnishing a short-term rental and am curious about how many of each kind of towel I should get (Bath towel, hand towel, wash cloth, bath mat).

My favorite was the time an inspection passed except for the fact that the tenant was dirty and had a bunch of clothes on their couch.

Which my not be much since tenant is a mess, hard to see damages behind furnitures and pill of clothes. 

You could block those, however, in your first photo of the kitchen you are trying to replicate with the oven on the left, where the taller window is with the grass cloth covering, you can keep your door (though you may need to move it over) and then move the sink to the right under the window. 

Weed cloth is useless in my experience.

I would also add a weekly scheduled yoga class.  

I dont buy trinkets, gifts, electronics, clothes or furniture, I don't even heat my house to save money.  

You can make minor adjustments based on the type of appliances (dishwasher, clothes washer and dryer, air conditioning, etc.) and the size of the rental.
