While there's a lot of good info for you here so far, here's a piece no one has yet mentioned ...Since you have no resources of your own, you're going to need to learn how to meet and attract people who can help you.I didn't see anything in your BP profile about where you are - remaining "anonymous" may work against you - but there should be some REIA groups you can tap into.

A couple of basic steps that take more effort than reading it off a piece of paper you gave them, but don't think having a PO box keeps your location anonymous....... not with todays info on the internet.....You're absolutely right, but then it's more proof that she went above and beyond......I'm collecting everything, as I expect some retaliation, when I'll give her her 60 days notice that I won't renew her lease.

My point is I understand wanting some anonymity.  

To give you an idea, where I am (Raleigh-Durham, NC), we have these anonymous LLC's buying up everything and I mean everything they can between $200-400k.

I've got a rather large TikTok following and I'll say this- People take small sentiments and amplify them 100x when they can operate from behind a phone with anonymity and no attachment to a real person. 

If I go to any real estate conference now it seems that a lot of people know me, but outside of the real estate circle I can go on with my life in complete anonymity. 

Most investors are doing LLCs from my experience... but that doesnt mean you have to. there are some liability protections with LLC, along with a little anonymity if set up right. but also some added costs. one suggestion here is just whatever you decide, stick to it. some counties will see a transfer between personal/ LLC or vice a versa as a 'sale' and trigger property tax reassessment.  

The anonymity, the freedom to just keyboard cowboy away with comments is both good and bad here.  

Till then, I stand with @Mike S. on the same position that trusts only offer anonymity, but no legal asset protection.
