Demand is not constant.Elastic demand is one in which the change in quantity demanded due to a change in price is large.That happened during the recession, as the price is too expensive, people prefer to save money and not buy mortgage because the mortgage is more than rent right now, so the demand could pretty much collapse during mortgage hikes.

Too many think that "quantity", because of the volume, will generate those leads simply because there are so many...there has to be at least one "needle" in that stack of plenty.

I agree inflation is for sure having an effect but the sheer quantity of demand and lack of housing in the area is really what I think is driving it.
