Bitter sweet,  but at the end of the day, getting 7-8% increases is a hell of a lot better than San Francisco’s ridiculous 2% (+/-) allowable increases plus wacky side rules on rentals ;) But at any rate, this bill is a big deal for CA landlords!

I prefer not to do residential work because most homeowners think all contractors are out to rip them off, the owner doesn't adequately understand or describe the scope of work, they change their minds halfway through, they pay begrudgingly and then talk badly about the job to friends and family.If you become bitter instead of taking responsibility for your part of this mistake, you run the risk of alienating good contractors in the future.

My partner and I are looking at creating a dual fuel system, where heat pumps make hot water on the milder winter days but the oil kicks in during the bitter times.
