i exausted church donations, charity donations/...my 401k is maxed, to reduce taxes....i have brokrage mutual funds but all those gains are taxed....10 k in gains...adding to my pain....What else can i use for deductions for this year, before i submit my taxes to IRS?..

In the distressed asset arena generally referrals don't work like that.. but I can see it happening from time to time.best bet is to work your church group or your close community ties.. that's were you can do good if you not going to market.  

They don't have the random school shootings, church shootings and mass shootings that we have here.

Consider paying $100 to the local community watch person in the neighborhood who is a member of the church up the street that has a cleanup effort.
