Run the numbers on a 30 year mortgage and see where you end up with the properties. 

If yes, are there steps in place for an easy transition - Do they have property management companies in place?

The newer the property the better. 

I also like Thomas's idea if you are ever considering moving up from this property.

Hello everyone, I’ve been speaking with landlords/ property managers to better understand the operational challenges they’re facing and if they resolved it, then how did they do it.

We have a 3 year right of redemption here, so I can go on our revenue commissioner website and look up parcels and apply to buy the property for an amount they email me, and if the state has owned that property for 3 or more years, they would issue me a tax deed.
