Since it seems you have about a 6-7 ft bar from kitchen to living, that is only 2-3 people eating, and the living room doesn't have the space to fit a dining table, even a small one, and seating (couch, chairs, etc) while maintaining any paths to move through room or access the slider and hallway towards back of house.From a design perspective, entering a house into a reasonably long, narrow dark (no natural light) hallway is never an inviting experience.
