So it's been a while, and I'm beginning to get a pretty clear picture of total costs, as well as projected room rates and expected income, so I thought now would be a good time to start throwing some numbers out.The total cost paid out of pocket to Homeroom, after the purchase of the house, will be around $24,818That includes about $8,480 for various purchases including furniture, appliances, kitchen stuff - dishes etc , smart locks and thermostats.

It's a 3 bedroom house and we plan to use technology such as a smart lock, WIFI exterior cameras, and a smart thermostat.

If you have wall thermostats in the home you can also consider putting in a thermostat which limits the temperature the heat can be set.
