However I am unable to correctly identify ‘ research this and I am having analysis paralysis.would you say to just find high cashflowing areas or should I just find an agent and trust his word.

Hands down its lack of communication with the passive investors.  

On the rare occasion there is a problem we take care of it swiftly and communicate with guests about what is going on to get their issue fixed with minimal impact to their stay.If I had a serious enough issue I would offer a partial refund.

There are tech tools that can handle specific tasks as well: Turno (cleaner mgmt), Avalara (taxes), Guesty, Hospitable (guest communications).

First, if I understand correctly, the syndication made no distributions at the time because money needed to be spent to develop management capabilities for the sponsor.  

I agree with Charles--interviewing and setting clear expectations and great communication is key.

My tenant would be responsible for the cost anyways, correct?
