Brilliant idea and a great investment for the future. 

But then there is something called improvements, and the improvements is just as much, making the assessed value $2x. she has no idea how this could be.

They have no idea of the value as-is, no idea of the ARV, and no idea of the costs of rehab.

As some one with no experience in this field I don't want to get lost in bad ideas.

Looking for ideas from experienced chicago landlords. 

I like tge ideas of multi family homes, longer term rentals, fix and flips, short term vacation rentals and commercial opportunities like rv parks/campgrounds etc. 

I seriosly wonder why they think antagonizing tenants and other stakeholders in the real estate process is a good idea?
