There was courtyard patio in the center of the building, and tenants could request to have planters assigned to them, so they could plant veggies or flowers, etc. 

Hey bryce,I think what I would do is make a couple little tree planter boxes maybe 2x2 ft, and do  concrete the rest.

And they'll probably have to increase them even more.Then there was the plant nazi who harassed me about my tomato plants planted in pretty ceramic planters....OMG, I couldn't get out of there fast enough!

I'm 40, as you know better than most, and quite comfortable and stylish behind the wheel that I don't pay for...though not as comfortable or stylish as my good friend @Serge S. hahaha

I also provide a planter for the front porch - again, a little "plus" that costs me nothing.

There are many landlords out there who offer stylish, updated units.

The property is clean and cute so congrats there, but some, comfy, cozy, stylish spaces would go a long way!
