When I first started buying homes in the mid 90s, I was in a laundry matt doing a load of clothes( because I lived in my rehabs and did not own a washer.

I have to change my clothes after each time I go outside due to all the rain, I wouldn't mind being in the Sunshine State for week or two!

Sometimes it's fun to do the things that are supposedly below my paygrade, and someday I will learn that I can't wear my "nice" clothes because I will always end up covered in job site dust.

Machine shops, mechanic shops, even clothing stores and restaurants will lose a huge part of their business. 

I have always been pretty frugal and think some things are a waste (gambling or designer clothes) but some things are worth the spending (travel)  I was actually in Vegas this past weekend with some friends who were gamblers.  

Or "lifestyle" businesses (i.e. a yoga studio if you are a yoga instructor). 

I’ve never heard my mom talking about she gotta pay the rent or car note growing up.I just don’t pay for any extras like amazon, she buys most of the little stuff like houses supply’s and even buys most of the kids clothes. 

The gas pump's have been removed and the store is being used for a clothing/thrift store and a towing center.  

If this were true, I as an investor could go buy up a few blocks of post-industrial wasteland in any one of a hundred failing cities around the country, throw in a coffee shop and a yoga studio and some concrete counters, and just start raking in the dough while simultaneously destroying the lives of the locals.

It's old cloth-bound wiring, I'd guess from when the house was built in the 1920's.
