I have also been trying to find out about Meet up groups and just recently found one in Marysville.Locally I know good people in the sub-contracting world that I trust (concrete, painting, framers, electricians and plumbers).

They were supposed to bill based on hours (different rates for framers, drywallers, supervisors, etc.), and send me invoices every week.However, they never sent me the invoices each week, and when I asked about the overall cost of the project toward the end of may (the project started in May), they told me $35,000 so far.

I'm currently doing a project in Baltimore and my framing guy has come in at a higher price than expected as a result I'm now out there finding/booking other framers but if I had planned other options before hand I would not be wasting time, not fun when u paying high interest to a HML.

those rotted joists aren't that expensive to replace if you know the right framers too....all in all, better to avoid it though...that's a success story in my books!

The only ones that ever tested positive for LBP were built in the late 50s/early 60s and usually framer style houses.

Our dry waller for instance has 600 plus employees  and a JET  .. dry wall is not Sexy but its profitable  same with Electrictions HVAC  Framers that know what they are doing..
