Perhaps a digital lock that can be connected to your and your renters' smartphone would be a worthwhile installation.

It's a single family house with a tenant who doesn't have a bank account, doesn't use smart phone nor computers.

I don't disagree with the sentiment expressed just the timing, predictable effects and outcomes. i just think there will be a lot of changes that make us look back and wonder how we didn't see it coming and how we ever lived differently (like the smartphone today for instance) but it won't be that predictable and the effect will certainly be big over time but not immediate and not as drastic as was implied.  

I make sure my main contractors can text, email and have working smart phones (I know.... but you would be surprised).

Evernote - Has a built in scanner you can use on your smartphone that takes excellent clear scans  of receipts from anywhere (No carrying around paper).

Most people have smart phones especially in C neighborhoods.

If I want a large screen I just use a wireless keyboard and mouse and plug it into my TV when I'm at home.Video camera and traditional camera are largely replaced by a smart phone, but a nice camera still takes better pictures for marketing stuff. 

I am looking at infrared cameras, where footage would be dumped to the cloud, and I can monitor on my smart phone.  

The $24.99 plan also ads SmartPhone Control; however I've never opted for that.
