This is not unique to San Diego but virtually all markets.- you need to be able to handle the negative cash flow that likely will be challenging at times.  

So you can recycle it into the next deal and grow your investments a lot quicker than just leaving it all in the market.In short, if you’re comfortable being a bit more hands-on with a tangible asset and you like the idea of speeding up your growth, then mixing in real estate is a great move.
