Was just in Grand Rapids for the Midwest REI over the summer

Hi Michael from Grand Rapids, MI-You are brand new to the idea of real estate investing and asked about must learn topics to choose the best path.There are many books, videos, and courses one could take and study-most of which are free through YouTube and the Library.If I were starting over and when I advise new investors, I would consider the following:1.

This park has more than double the annual visitors as the next closest park (12.1M visitors annually as opposed to Grand Canyon in #2 spot at 4.9M).

And this caused some deals to experience major distress and/or implode. while others continue to hum along as planned.

I funded him 2 grand.I got that back when his deal was done 9 days later……AND I made 4 grand on top for a 200% return.Sweet!

In the grand scheme of things, though, both represent a possible source of return, so the most profitable real estate investment is the one in which the sum of cash flow and appreciation is highest.

In the grand plan it is not that expensive.  

Interestingly growing up my family mostly vacationed in Puerto Rico as my grand parents were living at the their home in Vieques for a majority of the year, in my young childhood they owned a hotel in Lincoln, NH one of the most popular mountain destinations in New England.

I make a few grand but I’m only a 3rd of the way there.
