Remember, you'll need pad as well, so factor in another $1.50 per year or so...Btw, anyone who lives in my area (Atlanta) shouldn't be paying more than $4.50/sq yard for nice, mid-grade plush carpet and less than that for 12mm vinyl...we do live about 50 miles from the carpet capital of the world...

You sometimes have to remove the pad, as well.If the urine soaks into the subfloor, you may have to paint the subfloor with an oil-based Kilz or other primer that can seal in the odor.

Use at least 6 lb carpet pad as that will prolong durability of the carpet and reduce wear best as possible.
